Children of Ebola, Children of neglect they always suffer the most

In West Africa there are at least 3,700 orphans of Ebola that are left to care for themselves due to peoples' fear of contracting the disease. I'm sure that number has risen exponentially since the article was written six days ago. click here for article. As I read this article yesterday my heart went out to all of those that are being effected by this ongoing human catastrophe. The loss of life and fear that Ebola generates is mind boggling  and overwhelming. I began to think and as I sat at my desk yesterday about our own children in America and as I did some quick Google searches I turned up some horrible facts 1.6 million children in this country are homeless that means that out of every 45 children in the U.S.A. one will be homeless, hungry and hopeless. Just like the children in West Africa their situations are not their fault. familyhomelessness.org

This is Relisha Rudd she was an 8 year old Washington, D.C.
native. The place that she called home was D.C. General the largest homeless shelter in the United States,
it used to be a hospital. excellent Washington Post article about D.C. General Now it is the home of 300 families in our Nation's capitol. March1,2014 was the last time anyone saw Relisha Rudd alive. From a summation of all the articles that I read about this innocent I came to the conclusion that her drug addicted Mother sold her to a cretin of a man that worked as a Janitor at the facility for some nefarious purpose.Timeline of Relisha Rudd disappearance. As we think about the suffering of all the children in this world let us not forget about our own because as my mother always told me that is where charity begins.
There is a great charity that I have just been  made aware of  #helpthemplay http://www.helpthemplay.org/
